CAGAYAN DE ORO CONSIDERED AS A PROMINENT CITY FOR BPO INDUSTRY

Information and communications technology city council president, Stephanie Caragos disclosed that the Cagayan de Oro City is considered by many Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) as a potential BPO destination in Northern Mindanao. Caragos stated, “Today, there are at least 15 BPO companies operating in Cagayan de Oro and employing some 2,000 agents.” She added, “In the future, 5,000 siguro ang atong ma-employ which is a very good number for employment here in Cagayan de Oro.” Last week, Caragos together with BPO heads discussed with city Mayor Oscar Moreno considering Cagayan De Oro as a prominent hub for the BPO industry.
