My supposed speech…

Before anything else, I’d like to thank Aileen Apolo for receiving our company’s award in my behalf. I was ecstatic when I was told that our company won in the Digital Filipino Web Awards under the corporate and professional category. Much to my dismay, I was not able to get a flight going to Manila and so I had to ask Aileen the huge favor of receiving it for us. I also asked her to choose from any of the “short” speeches I have prepared in accepting the award.

Speech Choice #1″I am happy to receive the best actress award for Stephanie today, she may not have gotten the tony awards, but this Oscar will sit well on her shelf”

Speech Choice #2″In behalf of my good friend Stephanie, who is in Antarctica right now, filming tomb raider 3, in place of Angelina of course as she’s sexier than her…. thank you for this award … I know she well deserves this golden globe award”

Speech Choice #3″Wow… I knew she’d get this. I mean, imagine, filming the movie without a stunt double? she jumped off the bridge, did a fantastic summersault, split and 100 cartwheels in 30 seconds. To all those who supported and voted her, thank you”

Aileen accepting the award for us.

Seriously though, to be nominated and to remain in the list of finalists and be counted as among one of the chosen corporate/professional sites was already an awe-inspiring and uplifting feeling for us. But to actually get this award gives each and every team-member in our company so much to thank for, to know that each of their contribution in designing and working on the website, in showing the dynamism of the company actually has given impact to the site visitors. Thank you very much! For those who voted for our site, thank you!!! Click here to know more about the Digital Filipino Web Awards.
