CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, June 24 (PIA) – Cagayan de Oro ICT Council together with partner stakeholders held the first Information and Communications Technology (ICT) summit in Cagayan de Oro City on 23 June 2016 to welcome growing Information Technology – Business Process Outsourcing (IT-BPO) industry in the city.

With the theme “Bringing BPO to the Southern Hub,” the summit aimed to showcase the city’s potentials and promote CDO as a (BPO)-ready sector inviting potential ICT/BPO companies to invest in the city.

CDO ICT Council president Stephanie Caragos said that ICT is important in this period of rapid change which is already driven by technology.

“Having ICT as a tool is one of the most vital assets of an organization, therefore using technology is key to the success of our organizations,” she said.

She has completed her Eisenhower Fellowship and was awarded as the Douglas Dillon Named Fellow for the year 2016 and recently completed her term as National President for the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines last 2017.
